Professor Mohammed Abu-Nimer is a Professor of International Peace and Conflict Resolution at the School of International Service, American University, Washington DC, USA. Prof. Abu-Nimer is an expert on conflict resolution and dialogue for peace among Palestinians and Jews in Israel. He has conducted interreligious conflict resolution training, and interfaith dialogue.

Dr. Ahmad Syafii Maarif is the former Chairman of Muhammadiyah and a leading public figure and intellectual in Indonesia. He has been instrumental in seeding new forms of intellectualism within Muhammadiyah circles, particularly among young activists. His relentless effort in promoting peace, tolerance and pluralism in Indonesian society earned him the Magsaysay Award for Peace and International Relations in 2008.
